Human trafficking is a major problem in our area and most people are not aware of it. The common misconception is that this is a problem that happens in foreign countries and involves slavery and sex traffickers. These are serious problems and there are many people being trafficked here in Western New York. Our instructors have worked on these local investigations and can provided some insight into the problems we are seeing. The classes taught usually range from two to three hours depending on the areas that need to be covered. The class is taught by investigators who work these types of investigations. References and pictures are often from ongoing or past investigations conducted by the instructors. Class sizes have ranged from ten to two hundred and fifty people.
